The Smithsonian's National Museum of American History has a wonderful
collection of wedding dresses, and a working knowledge of wedding
traditions, as it relates to clothing, headgear and accessories. I attended
an excellent lecture on this subject, with clothing from their collection,
during a lecture series three summer agos.
