I would also turn you to Eilean Hooper-Greenhill's work such as MUSEUMS AND
THE
SHAPING OF KNOWLEDGE (Routledge).  Also, Marine C. Malaro, MUSEUM
GOVERNANCE: MISSION, ETHICS, POLICY (Smithsonian); Gerald George and Cindy
Sherrell-Leo, STARTING RIGHT: A BASIC GUIDE TO MUSEUM PLANNING (AASLH), and
Stephen E. Weils book, A CABIN OF CURIOSITIES (Smithsonian).   Falk and
DierKing also has an excellent book on learning, THE MUSEUM EXPERIENCE,
(Whalsesback).
