The Jewish Historical Society of Greater Washington and the Lillian &
Albert Small Jewish Museum seek a mature, poised, responsible individual
with an interest in local Jewish history and with prior experience in
organizing programs. At least 2 years prior experience is preferred.
Responsibilities include organizing all aspects of adult public programming
and fundraising events, publicity and assisting with development and some
museum administration. Knowledge of membership/fundraising database
software is necessary as is some skill with publisher software.
The position is full time (40 hours per week) from Monday – Thursday with
some evening and Sunday hours as programs dictate. Salary range $30,000 -
$35,000 depending on experience. Good benefits.
The Society and its Museum are dedicated to preserving local Jewish history
through exhibits, collections, and unique educational programs.
