What a fun topic! Things I remember were metal roller skates with skate key; big tired bicycles; pedal powered riding metal cars, jeeps, tractors (my brothers had these); Robby the Robot; Radium dial watches; Tiny Tears dolls; small metal cars and other assorted vehicles (I had 3 brothers!); toy soldier lead molding kits; paper doll books featuring pop singers and stars of the era; Cinderella/Mickey Mouse/Snow White watches; Mickey Mouse hats. . . As for Mom and Dad gifts, clothes and accessories of the era were popular items. Have a rockin' good time with this exhibit, and Happy Holidays!
