Director of Exhibition Services
The Franklin Institute is in the midst of a $60M capital improvement
project renovating or replacing over 50,000 s.f. of exhibits. As part
of this campaign the Exhibits and Design Department is searching for a
creative professional to manage and coordinate large exhibit/program
projects from development to fabrication, ensuring that they are
on-time, within budget, and of high quality. The selected candidate
will be responsible for all aspects of an innovative Development team
that exhibit and program solutions for museum needs. These needs
include all graphic design, exhibit development, design and
implementation for traveling exhibits (both incoming and outgoing), the
sale of exhibit components and to support the development of
educational programs. This position is to oversee and manage a staff
that includes exhibit/program developers and prototypers as well as a
large number of outside vendors, consultants and sub-contracts. He/she
will coordinate these exhibition projects and assume responsibility for
on-time, on-budget, high quality production that satisfies the client’s
(museum and visitors) needs.
College degree in design, science or related field and 5-8 years
experience in professional project & team management required. Museum
or theme entertainment experience preferred. We offer competitive
