Art Services International, a non-profit traveling exhibitions
organization, is seeking an Assistant Registrar.  Responsibilities include
assisting the Registrar in managing temporary exhibitions, including
establishing inter-museum shipping schedules; coordinating domestic and
international shipping and courier arrangements; preparation of traveling
condition notebook; maintaining computerized exhibition checklists;
procuring packing, shipping and insurance estimates for national and
international loans; acquiring, documenting and controlling original color
photography of loaned objects; and general office correspondence.
Qualifications include use of computers and familiarity with a variety of
computer programs, database applications (MS Access helpful) and the
Internet; the ability to handle numerous projects simultaneously and under
tight deadlines; knowledge of museum standards and accepted registration
practices an asset; and strong organizational and communicatio skills. A
full time position.
