EXHIBIT DESIGNER
Fernbank Museum of Natural History in Atlanta has an immediate
opening for an Exhibit Designer.
Responsibilities include:
* Development of exhibit floorplans and layouts, including structural
and spatial design, by using computer-aided 3D software,
hand-drawn conceptuals and traditional techniques.
* Design and select exhibit graphics, lettering, color, textures, photos
and drawings.
* Provide detailed construction drawings and specify exhibit materials
and substrates.
* Work as project leader to schedule and supervise exhibit
installations, including selection of outside vendors.
Applicants should possess the following skills and work knowledge:
* Bachelor’s degree or minimum 5 years work experience.
* Proven ability to manage workgroups and direct staff from different
departments.
* Expert knowledge of graphic software including Adobe Photoshop,
Illustrator, QuarkXPress, Streamline and Dimensions.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a diverse team.
* Analytical, detail-oriented and efficient.
* Excellent verbal and written presentation skills.
