I don't want to be alarmist, and I don't want to get
into the politics of it all. I just want to be
proactive with respect to world treasures.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it's time
to take additional measures with respect to artifacts
that are resident in Syria. Records of what are
available should be duplicated, pictures of every item
made available to those that can provide them to
Interpol if need be, and the most prized (aren't they
all) of them all firmly and securely locked away in
such a way that they cannot be absconded with.
I realize this may seem premature and/or absurd. All
I can say in my own defense is that I've done
extensive research that leads me to believe this may
become necessary.
