Actually, 501(c)(3) designations do not prohibit something like a political
rally by an outside group, renting or utilizing the museum. 501(c)(3)'s are
not supposed to do political lobbying without registering as a political
lobby group or take an advocacy position for a political candidate....but
certainly opening the museum to both sides is part of the free exchange of
expression we support.
