Ms. Lane,
At the Hancock House outside Salem Nj, we use oyster shells in our walkways
but not driveways, they are cheap and the State supplies them to us . These
are easily driven over by strollers and wheelchairs etc. I dont know of
there use mixed with asphalt however, if you would like ill send yoou some
pictures directly. One of the nice things about the shells is the low
maintenance and they make for great weed control and allow the soil to
absorb water quickly( importatnt to both our areas).
