Try the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology (yes, I'm serious) in Ithaca,
NY. Their Macauly Library of Natural Sounds is one of the most extensive
on the planet. And one of their researchers, Katy Payne I believe is her
name, specializes in elephants.
They have many commercial recordings already available, and may be able to
provide something from their vaults if need be.
