I received this email from a cousin. Anyone know what he is talking about?
....
Our daughter was a former mime. We bought her a mask in Venice several
years ago. The surface began to change. To make a long story short, we
took the mask back to the shop where we purchased it in Venice last fall.
They refurbished it and varnished it. I was five instructions to varnish
it periodically with a compound called Lucidina. I found it in an art shop,
but could not bring it back because of flammability. The contents was
nitroalcolica, non yellowing. My conversion from Italian to English and my
chemistry of 50 years suggest this is alcohol with a nitro radical of some
type. Does this ring any kind of bell?
