I have heard of using clear finger nail polish. However, I have never used it myself. I know that some museums use Soluvar, but that takes 24 hours to dry and I don't have that kind of time when applying a number to an object so I have not used it either.

Hello, all,
In the past, we used Liquid Label from Light Impressions as an undercoat
when labeling artifacts. I have just discovered that the product has been
discontinued and neigther Gaylord nor Light Impressions can recommend
anything comparable. Anyone know what's going on? Can anyone tell me what
else I should be using and where I can buy it?
Thanks,
Erica
