Depending on the age of the photograph you have to be very careful that the
gelatin doesn't start to redissolve. If it does and you handle it
incorrectly you may end up damaging the surface more than has already been
done.
He should also make sure that he has a suitable storage method once it is
unrolled. It will take up a more significant amount of space once unrolled.
