Hello All!
Need a drawbridge control? Then Cape Fear Museum has a deal for you! We
deaccessioned ours and now we're looking to find it a good, loving home.
The control is from the bridge built over the Cape Fear River in 1929.
Here's our catalog description:
Desk, Bridge Control; large rectangular box with angled control board on
top. Board has 2 large dials, indicator lights, plastic switches and brass
handles. On front, below control board are 2 tall, rectangular boxes with
large pivoting control arms with wood handles. Metal plate on front gives
manufacturer's information and is stamped, "7495 Y1" and "Bascule Bridge
Control".
Dimensions (rough): 49 inches high x 48 inches wide x 39 inches deep (and
heavy).
Anyone interested should reply to this e-mail or contact me at the
telephone number below.
Thanks,
Tim
