The Augusta Museum of History is seeking an intern to work as a cataloguer
of historical artifacts. The museum is in the process of moving its
collection into a new collections storage facility and is working to
catalogue the artifacts as they are relocated. Applicant must have
database experience (preferably PastPerfect), be capable of lifting and
moving objects and not be afraid of heights. A hard-working, detail
oriented person with basic knowledge of and experience with museum
cataloguing procedures is needed. A good basic knowledge of all types of
historical artifacts and how to research them is necessary. The internship
pays $8.00 per hour for a 40 hour week for a period of 14 weeks beginning
as soon as possible.
