Kimberly,
The Minnesota Historical Society has some great conservation references on their website, including an article on preserving quilts that has a section on mounting them and pictures of the velcro method of display.

Hi all,
I've had a research request from a woman who wants to
display a quilt she owns in her house. She wants to
know the best "museum" way to do it.
I used to have a drawing showing people how to mount
quilts on a 45 degree angle, and how to make a muslin
sleeve, but I believe I left it in the files at my
last job.
Does anyone know of such a resource?
Thanks!
