Tacoma Art Museum in Tacoma, Washington has a fantastic (if I do say so
myself) public art making studio, classroom, resource center and events
space that will open on May 3, 2003. Our neighbors at the Washington
State History Museum have a new History Lab. And our other neighbors at
Museum of Glass have a brand new art studio and hot shop open to the
public with daily demonstrations and visiting artists.

Subject: Museum education facilities
I am looking for examples of excellent museum (or similar) education
facilities to visit in the US, as part of planning for new facilities at
the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. Any suggestions of new or recent
building projects incorporating innovative and exciting education
facilities would be of great interest.
I am looking specifically for the following
Artist studios
arts and crafts rooms
Auditoriums
seminar rooms
digital teaching rooms
lunchrooms
group cloakrooms and other facilities for groups
multi-purpose teaching / events spaces
Many thanks
