Hi, Robin,
This may not be workable for you, but at our last event we had a check-in
table. The event was a Heritage Day, where kids went from one hands-on
activity to the next. Each child got a "passport to the past" which we
stamped at each station. The passport was fun for them, and having them
start at a single point helped us track our numbers.
