Volume 177, no 1, 1993 of museum international has a series of articles
on war and peace museums. "The spirit of Hiroshima,"
"Sachsenhausen: A flawed museum" and "Auschwitz: the strangest
museum" are of relevance to the theme of prisons and torture. Volume
181, no 1, 1994, which mainly focusses on automation issues, has an
article on the Tuol Sleng museum and the funeral monument Choeung Ek
which bear witness to Cambodian genocide. The articles are touching,
moving and stimulating. They draw the reader's attention to the human
beings that suffered in these institutions and sites.
