Colleagues,
As museums become busier and busier, it is sometimes necessary to hire
someone on contract to perform certain functions that might normally
fall to the registrar at a museum, for example:
- a condition report on a work before it leaves the lender's home
- packing supervision
- assistance in moving a collection
- filling in for staff on a temporary basis
- traveling with an exhibition
- managing an inventory
You can find skilled and willing help at OnContract.
The annual update has been done. If you want to be added, follow the
simple instructions on the site. If you want to correct your
information, send me a note. It may be updated in another year, it may
be sooner. It is purely a pro bono service.
The site is available through the RCAAM web site or at
http://www.panix.com/~squigle/OnContract/menu.html
I would be interested to know if it is helpful to those on the list, or
to those seeking help.
For those on the list, I would also like to know what you think about
the possibility of making a link to your email addresses, knowing that
the site might be harvested by junk emailers.
