The Smith Telford Photograph Collection has a B/W photo ca. 1925 of a gas
station on the main street in Cooperstown, NY. Maybe they can help if you
want to try them.
Contact the Fenimore House (museum) of the New York State Historical
Association, Cooperstown, NY. Their website is www.nysha.org
(This is NOT the New-York Historical Society in NYC).

Hi all,
I'm looking for a B&W picture of an exterior of a gas station from like
1930-1960 similar to this picture from Corbis. Look for image# F6728
Corbis wants - $465!!!!! for the freaking picture which is dated from 1935
and
probably out of copyright to boot. I can buy who stock photo cds for that
much
money.
Anyway, if you or your museum has one that my company can use a copy of,
we'd
pay you a reasonable useage fee plus copying expenses and shipping. We
needed
this like yesterday so we'd pay for Fed Ex or to e-mail us a high-quality
scan
of it.
Thanks in advance!
Deb
