UPSTATE/DOWNSTATE MUSEUM EDUCATORS EXCHANGE
An Exciting New Opportunity for New York's Museum Educators
The Upstate/Downstate Museum Educators Exchange is a joint program between
the Upstate History Alliance (UHA) and the New York City Museum Educators
Roundtable (NYCMER). The program provides the opportunity for New York's
museum educators to spend a week at a sister institution, learning new
techniques, observing programs and planning, and developing new ideas to
bring back to their own institutions.
Preliminary applications are now available for participants & host museums,
who must be from either the New York metropolitan area or UHA's 35 county
upstate region. Participant's institutions must cover their salary for the
week. The program, with a grant from the New York State Council on the Arts
(NYSCA) will support travel costs and provide a per diem for lodging and
meals.
UHA & NYCMER members will be receiving applications forms in the mail
shortly. More details & downloadable application forms are also available on
the UHA website at www.upstatehistory.org/whatsnew/exchange.html.
Please contact UHA with any questions or comments about this program.
