Hello!
I would appreciate some feedback from those of you who use CDs and CD
players for audio-tours. I am working with a conservatoryto pilot and
evaluate a 33-minute audio-tour of three 'environments' -- desert, fern and
rainforest / tropical. A map designating 20 stops will be given to
visitors, along with the CD in the CD player. I envision that visitors
might "pause" the CD player should they want to stay in one area/place
longer.
There is little staff or volunteer presence in the conservatory -- so I am
concerned about the players being returned, but that is something a
committee is working on! If the audio-tour is well received (used a lot),
conservatory staff may try to find a grant to develop a more sophisticated
system, but for now, the CD will be used. Also, note we are talking low
budget ideas!
1. What brands of CD players have worked well?
2. Am I correct in thinking that play, pause, rewind, fast forward are the
most used features?
3. What types of "CD cases" have you found most sturdy and least cumbersome
for visitors?
4. Other?
Thanks, in advance, for your help!
Kind regards,
Terrie
