The Museum of Early Trades and Crafts in Madison NJ has a vault that was
apparently original to their museum. The vault/safe was recently
refurbished and has been used for exhibitions. If you go to their Web site
at:
http://www.rosenet.org/metc/
and click on the "Virtual Museum" button near the bottom of the page, then
on "From the Tiffany Archives" under "Highlights of Past Exhibits", you can
see a photo of how the refurbished vault was used for their small Tiffany
exhibition.
I realize that your query was about a functional safe/vault, but perhaps
they can be of some help since they recently refurbished their vault.
