Center on Contemporary Art proudly presents the 2003 Northwest Annual
call for entries
From October 4th through November 19th CoCA presents the 2003 Northwest
Annual; a juried exhibition now in it's fourteenth year. This year for
the first time, The Northwest Annual will be open to all professional
artists residing in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The Northwest
Annual is an opportunity for artists to gain regional and national
exposure and a vital showcase for experimental work and emerging talent.
CoCA is accepting submissions for the following media: painting,
sculpture, photography, mixed media, works on paper, and video.
THE JUROR
The juror for the 2003 Northwest Annual is Esther Luttikhuizen,
co-founder of Esther Claypool Gallery. Esther Luttikhuizen is a member
of ArtTable, a national nonprofit organization for professional women in
the visual arts. Luttikhuizen has been formerly associated with Francine
Seders Gallery, the Henry Art Gallery, and the Urban Institute for
Contemporary Arts, Grand Rapids, Michigan. As a studio artist,
Luttikhuizen was recipient of a New Jersey State Council for the Arts
Individual Fellowship and a Ludwig Vogelstien Foundation Fellowship. She
received an MFA from the University of Washington School of Art in 1993.
DATES TO REMEMBER
Deadline for entries: entries must be received or post-marked no later
than 5:00 pm August 15th, 2003.
Notification of acceptance will posted on our website September 1st,
2003.
Accepted artworks due at the gallery by September 19th, 2003
