I have purchased wooden coathangers with a 6" neck from American Hanger and Fixture Company
in New York City. Their phone number is 212-279-5280. The order information is:
#110 Bentwood coathangers with 6" neck, $73.15 per 100.
These work really well for padded hangers.
Hope this helps,

Subject: hanger source
Does anyone have a source for 15 inch wooden hangers, for making padded
hangers?
I've used Jonell in New York before, but the number that I (and
directory assistance) have for them doesn't work
I used to buy ones with extra long "necks" but the last time that we
purchased them, I couldn't find those. Would anyone know anything about
those, either?
Thanks,
Lisa
