If you haven't been convinced by this point that a restriction on breast feeding is a bad idea, contact the Littleton History Museum in Littleton, Colorado. A few years ago a customer complained that a woman was breast feeding her baby on a bench in a public area, and she didn't want her kids to see such an intimate picture. The staff explained to the nursing mom that some visitors complained, and offered the use of a private office.
The next day a huge group of lactating mothers appeared in protest in front of the Musem, all nursing their babies. It became a lead news story and a giant frustration for the Museum, which was under the impression they had done the correct thing.
Of course, some say that that there is no such thing as bad publicity, but ...
