DIRECTOR, UTAH DIVISION OF STATE HISTORY >! > The Department of Community
and Economic Development has an opening for a Director to oversee the
Division of State History Board of Directors. The responsibilities
associated with this position include the administration and management of
the division to include the budget, programs, and supervision of personnel,
develops partnerships in heritage economic development, education, tourism
and resource protection, develop and coordinate plans and policies,
resources in compliance with governmental mandates, and strategic plan
Initiatives, coordinate activities with other programs within the
department and other state of federal programs, work with legislators, and
prepare legislation on behalf of the division, coordinate efforts with the
governor's office, Skills Sets/Educational Requirements: A Bachelor's
degree required or a Master's degree or Ph.D. preferred in history,
geography, anthropology, archeology, architectural history, historic
architecture, historic preservation, or related field, plus eight years of
full-time paid related employment, at least two years which must have been
in a supervisory or administrative capacity, or substitutions on a year for-
year basis, networking, working with the public and private sector, ability
to manage a diverse group of programs and staff, interpersonal skills, work
in a team environment, analytical, presentation and information technology
