You can export your word doc to html then pull the document into
Dreamweaver. Under the command menu in Dreamweaver MX there is a
command to  cleanup Word HTML.  It does a fairly good, although not
thorough job, of cleaning up the mess left behind by microsoft html
coding.  I use this function for official documents that must retain
formatting and look as close as possible to the original word
document. Otherwise, I create new web pages with the text from the
word documents (simple copy and paste).
