One difference we have is that we have many prints without negatives. So
far, we have given the prints the main accession number, but the negatives
(if they exist) had a negative number. The negatives will soon be given the
same accession number as its print. The glass-plate negatives will follow.
In the end, it is the image itself, no matter what form, that will have the
accession number.
