If you are on the west coast, you might want to stop in Monmouth, a very
small town in Oregon with a surprisingly fine library, and talk to
Director Ron Baker, who brokered a cooperative project "Polk Cooperative
History Project" between four libraries and two museums in Polk County.
These are all small institutions, and some very small. I think there is
information about the resulting Pathfinder to local history on the web
