David,
If you are looking for a cheap solution you can gimmick-up a cheap DVD
player (buy several to replace it when it dies). Or if you have the budget
for commercial/industrial DVD player then look at the Pioneer DVD-V7400. It
is the flagship player for this type of application. We have a Pushbutton
Interface that works directly with this player and allows up to eight
physical pushbuttons to activate various commands (similar to input from a
the remote control).
