We recently got a request from Amer. Assoc of Musuems to plan something either
on or around 9/11 celebrating America's freedom.
All of our works are serigraphs by Corita Kent so we plan to have a very small
temporary exhibit mixing her works that criticized US policy (Vietnam, Civil
Rights) with her flag series (various slashes of red, white and blue).
Which leads me to a question which perhaps i should post separately for all
the automatic "subject line deleters" (like myself) and that is, we received
some works from a vendor that were laid on some sort of board and wrapped
w/plastic wrap. They're easily hangable this way and quite light and while
they're not exactly elegant, it seems an inexpensive way to exhibit works with
out paying for frames (we have all odd sizes). Does anyone know where to get
works perpared this way or have any other ideas for simple, extra-cheap
pseudo-framing?
Thanks,
Sasha

Recently, I read two articles of note:
1. A worldwide requiem, is being targeted to
commemorate 9/11/01.
2. Many performers are bypassing 9/11 for their world
tours.
Is your museum planning any kind of exhibit,
discussion, or other activity that marks the one-year
anniversary of 9/11? If yes, please describe/share.
