Colleagues:
It has been 9 years since the well-known and useful Isabella Stewart
Gardner Rights and Reproductions Survey was first published. Time for
an update!
If your rights and reproductions function needs a complete overhaul,
simple polishing or if you have found perfect policy and procedures
that work for you, the Rights and Reproductions Information Network
(RARIN) of the Registrars Committee of the AAM invites you to download
the new survey form from the RARIN site, complete it and mail it to
Ruth Roberts at the address below.
Early results will be presented at the RARIN informal meeting at AAM in
Portland where others will be encouraged to fill out the survey. Once
survey results are all in, we will compile the results, post them to
the website and, if you request, send them to you.
Our experiences vary greatly. Each of our museums shines a slightly
different colored light on the issues of rights & reproductions,
copyright, licensing, intellectual property, etc. By taking a few
minutes to complete and return this form, we can help to better
organize, simplify and appreciate our roles in both our individual
organizations and in our larger museum community.
PLEASE FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO YOUR RIGHTS AND REPRODUCTIONS MANAGER
