Heritage Education Manager
Position Opening

            This position is the manager of the Trust's heritage
education program, entitled Talking Walls. The manager works with
classroom teachers "to activate the discovery process in each student"
by instructing teachers on using local resources to complement classroom
instruction.  Duties include developing and updating local Resource Kits
for communities; facilitating 4-5 week summer workshops; and publishing
the bi-annual newsletter. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required
Master's degree and/or professional experience in education and historic
preservation fields preferred.  Teaching certificate from accredited
university a plus.  Excellent communication and group leadership skills
mandatory.  Compensation: Full-time position with benefits; $30,000 -
$35,000. Closing date for applications is Nov. 15, 2002. Contact
