You might also try contacting the Madame Walker Theatre Center in
Indianapolis, IN. telephone number is 317-236-2099. They do have a website-
www.mmewalkertheatre.org. Also, try the Indiana Historical Society and the
Indiana State Museum, as well as Indiana Black Expo. The Indiana State
Museum is 317-232-1637 and their web site is www.state.in.us/ism and the
Historical Society is 317-232-1882 and www.indianahistory.org. Indiana
Black Expo is 317-925-2702 and the web is www.indianablackexpo.com. I do
not know who the contacts are for each of these organizations, however,
Madame CC'D. figures prominently in Indianapolis history, and so there will
surely be some information somewhere in Indy for you.
