Early Childhood Education Internship -- Capital Children's Museum,
Washington, DC
In Partnership with ExxonMobil Community Summer Jobs Program and Volunteer
Fairfax, Capital Children's Museum in Washington, DC is now accepting
applications for an Early Childhood Education Intern.
The position is a paid, 8-week internship in the summer of 2002 (exact dates
are flexible, but the internship must conclude by August 31). In addition to
interpreting museum exhibits and interacting with Museum visitors, the Early
Childhood intern will be responsible for teaching and developing dynamic
science, literature and creativity-based programs for children under five.
Interns will also participate in ExxonMobil CSJP training and development
sessions, as well as CSJP social activities. Students must be returning to
undergraduate studies in the fall to qualify for this internship. Applicants
should be pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education, Museum Education,
Science, or a related field. Students with experience teaching groups of
children under age five are strongly encouraged to apply. Please send resume
