Of course I shouldn't have opened my mouth without investigating further,
and I did mention that I knew little of the actual history of this
particular plant, but my main point was sometimes we as historians get
over-zealous in our need, desire, urge to save and protect everything.
With the additional information you provided to me (which I should have
looked up initially) I can understand the importance of saving this
