Greetings Museum-L members-
Are any of you familiar with university based distance learning programs in
museum studies, information technology (an emphasis in collections
computerization would be excellent), historic preservation, cultural
resource management, etc?
I am specifically interested in PhD programs, but am also exploring
Masters or certificate programs. I have a Master of Arts in Anthropology.
I am familiar with the programs offered by the University of Leicester,
and it appears that George Washington University is considering a distance
learning program in museum studies.
I have been searching for such information, and have found a few leads,
but wonder if I am missing any gems out there.
I am pursuing such a program for professional development within my current
organization, and since I live five to eight hours from any major
university, distance learning programs are my best (only) option.
Thanks in advance!
Tracy
