I think that everyone agrees with the original sentiment...the recent
graduate had posted a question asking for assistance in finding
employment, and those of us on the board provided the info.
It is important for people seeking employment (and not just in the museum
field) that you need to do more than throw yourself out there and say
"Hire me!". Trust me, I've been searching for a year and a half with no
luck whatsever. You've got to actively seek employment in any way shape or
form. We've seen a bunch of "I just graduated, someone hire me!" postings
here...and it furstrates me to no end that the postings may be all that
those recent grads are doing...but I would hope not.
