The subject of working in the UK has prompted me to ask a question I've been
stewing on...

I'm curious as to any thoughts or experiences anyone has had with the
distance learning Museum Studies Programme at Leicester University. I
really want to complete my MA, but I can't seem to give up working (and not
just financially, I love my job!) Does anyone have any thoughts to share on
distance learning, earning a degree in such a fashion, or this program in
particular?

I'm also wondering, for those of you Yanks who did get advanced degrees in
the UK, did you find that jobs and/or work visas were easier to acquire, or
perhaps seem a viable opportunity for you? (Part of the Leicester program
is a summer in residence, which I would definitely do!)

Thanks in advance, and feel free to respond here or to me personally.

Robyne
