Hello!
I am a lurker on this list, but have a conservation question. (We don't have
a fine arts conservator at my museum.)
I am receiving a gift of an old poster (not historic, only 30 years old).
It was somehow glued to a large piece of plywood sometime in the early
1970's. It has been poorly stored for a number of years, kept up in the
rafters in a garage - un covered and unprotected.
It has yellowed considerably, and is filthy. The plywood has warped a bit,
and the poster is puckered in several places, but still adheres to the
board.
Can anyone give me an idea of how I might go about trying to clean this
item? I would also love to remove it from it's board so it can be properly
framed.
Did I mention it is rather large? 3'x4'.

Thank you,
evi
