We are a transportation museum with no admission fee. To generate revenue,
we offer "extras" such as train and turntable rides; we are in the process
of initating shop tours in our 37-stall Roundhouse on the weekends.
Understanding that there are many safety issues involved, I would like to
know if there are other Railroading/Transportation/Industrial museums that
offer behind the scenes tours? If so, what are your safety concerns, how
often do you offer the tours, and how much did you charge (if anything at
all)? Thanks!
