I believe the question of ethics is irrelevant -- unless you feel a conflict
of interest which is purely personal and thus I would suggest you talk to
yourself in the mirror,, and try to turn around how you feel.
I believe that research on any museum contents/property, us a matter of
public -- unless there are restrictions on your property in question.
why don't you ask the director or the person involved with rights ^
reproductions.
