Erin, Bill Maurer copied me on your inquiry. You might want to speak with
my wife, Barbara Giambastiani Bartlett. She is restoration coordinator for
NYSOPRHP, Central Region, with specialty in historic interiors. She has
been working for 15 years + on Lorenzo, Fort Ontario, Rippleton School House
and Herkimer Home, all NYS historic sites. In particular Lorenzo has been a
focus of the past few years, with incredible results. Although Lorenzo is
not in your period of Significance specifically, however, her process,
research and resulting project planning documents are certainly not period
specific and would be applicable. She has also been teaching historic
interiors for many years as part of the interior design curriculum at
Syracuse Univ.
Barb would be a good resource to speak with for her experience in planning
for a historic interior project as well as how one implements such a
project. She has a great wealth of experience. Contact her at:

Good luck with your project. Your site is one of my favorites, how are
things coming along?
