Allison, you could try speaking with someone at The Cloisters in New York
(medieval branch of the Metropolitan Museum). The telephone number of their
education dept. is (212) 650-2280, and you may want to ask for their
collections manager or the conservation dept. Also - try the Medieval Club
of New York; President is Dr. Nancy Black (718) 941-8037.
