Vice President of Exhibits

                DEPARTMENT: Exhibits and Production

Reports To: Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer

Working within a Team-based structure, is responsible for all creative and
administrative aspects of exhibit development, project management, design
and production. Working collaboratively with the VP for Program Development
and the VP for Visitor Services, the VP will develop and maintain a clear
plan for exhibit development, production, renovation, management, and work
as part of major exhibit planning efforts. This person assures a high
standard of quality, safety, care and appearance of exhibits; manages
resources to provide on-time delivery of exhibit projects. The VP will
oversee major external museum consulting projects relevant to exhibits. The
position reports to the Executive Vice President/ Chief Operating Officer.

Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in a related field. 
· Demonstrated experience in the exhibit content development, design,
construction and installation, visitor flow, and ADA requirements. 
· Minimum five years management experience in an organization that
specializes in informal education, such as a museum, science center,
planetarium or park. 
· Demonstrated inclusionary, team-based approach to management; ability to
manage a diverse staff. 
· Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across institutional and
departmental boundaries with museum staff, collaborators, funders and Board.

· Demonstrated track record of supporting fundraising for exhibit
development, especially with corporate sponsors. 

Hours

On site Monday - Friday, flexible schedule. 

Other Factor

· Position requires a lot of walking and climbing stairs
· May require lifting up to 50 lbs
· Ability to multi-task on a regular basis
· Ability to work on time sensitive projects demanding a flexible work
schedule
