re "poofdas"--my Monty Python memories are old and hampered by current lack
of access to cable TV, but I always thought it was "poofters", British slang
for gay people. Ironic, since I believe a couple of the cast members were
gay. But I could be wrong, and it's not the point of this thread anyway.
