A variety of photographic printmaking techniques have been used in
conjunction with fabrics over the years, especially for decorative purposes.
It's not difficult to sensitize textiles and process them like photographs on
paper.  The cyanotype process was used frequently, as well as gum-bichromate
and others.  I'd suggest that you show the objects to someone knowledgeable
about photographic processes.
